As much as we love makeup and all those other beauty stuff, it is our reproductive system should have the same attention we give our pretty face.
Did you know that there are 12 Filipino women that dies of cervical cancer?
With our culture wherein the birds and the bees are still taboo, its no wonder that many are suffering this disease probably without them knowing.
For the past year, advocacy of widening the knowledge and the net as to which this information should be disseminated, Cervical Cancer is getting its scare from a lot of institutions. You can't fear what you know after all. And to this, I do agree that knowledge is power.
On May 26, Department of Health, along with the Philippines Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists of the Philippines (SGOP), the Philippine Society for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, the Cancer Resource and Wellness (Carewell) Community, and Merck Sharp & Dohme, is set to undertake free nationwide cervical cancer screening for women ages 25 to 44.
